Fred Rowe Jr.’s professional experiences across real estate and construction include a wide range of roles in the private and public sectors, including construction mitigation planning, construction program analysis, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning and capital spending management, and operational leadership.
Prior to joining UVA in 2022, he was Director of Real Estate for the University of Florida Foundation. In this role, he oversaw all real estate gifts to the university, working closely with development officers; managed real estate acquisitions and the selection of environmental consultants; and performed real estate financial analyses for the Foundation. He has also held the position of Senior Project Manager for the University of Florida’s Planning, Design, and Construction office, managing major construction projects up to $55 million.
Rowe's teaching and research are focused on real estate and design, affordable housing, and construction management. He serves as Assistant Professor of Practice – Real Estate and Executive Director of the Real Estate Design and Development Certificate Program at the UVA School of Architecture.
