Global Community at McIntire
As a leading business school with a strong tradition of global business education, McIntire is proud to welcome and support the future global business leaders among its student population—both domestic and international students alike. Our alumni around the world are eager to reconnect with McIntire students, and can often be found serving on panels in classes and events or welcoming students when they find their way in-country. On Grounds, faculty, staff, and students are active participants in the School's global efforts in many ways, including research, global curricular innovation, events and programming with global themes, student organization initiatives, and more.
Globally Focused Student Organizations
Many McIntire students seek to enhance their global knowledge by participating in organizations focused on various aspects of global commerce studies that extend beyond the curriculum. Independent student groups provide a relaxed social forum to explore topical subjects of interest.
Global Markets Group
The Global Markets Group (GMG) at the UVA is a McIntire-affiliated student organization that actively manages a $10,000 global equities portfolio. Meeting weekly throughout the academic year, students discuss current events in international financial markets, updates on its stock portfolio, and skill-building workshops for learning the basics of equity valuation and industry research. GMG strives to help students from all backgrounds learn about investing and develop the tools helpful to launching a career in finance.
SEED Consulting
SEED Consulting strives to assist NGOs worldwide by providing consulting services that incorporate best practices to help them achieve a greater level of efficiency.
