General Information
The McIntire School Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 22, at 12:45 p.m. on the Lawn and should last approximately two hours. No tickets are required.

What is the McIntire School Ceremony?
The McIntire School Ceremony is a celebration of our graduates’ accomplishments and includes three speakers, an announcement of student and faculty awards, and the calling of students’ names. Each student will cross the stage, shake the Dean’s hand, and receive a ceremonial scroll. Please note that students will be announced by academic program, and undergraduate students’ names will be announced alphabetically by Integrated Core Experience block.
Do I need tickets for the McIntire School Ceremony?
No, you do not need tickets for the McIntire School Ceremony. Please visit the UVA Office of Major Events website to learn more about ticket requirements for Final Exercises.
When can I access the Lawn after Final Exercises?
The Lawn will be accessible after the conclusion of Final Exercises, at approximately noon.
Where should we sit for the ceremony?
Please plan to sit in front of the stage on the Lawn to the left of the center aisle. Students will sit on the right side of the aisle.
