Susan Williamson Ross (Architecture '83)
President and CEO, 1906 Group
Susan Ross is President and CEO of 1906 Group, a privately held asset creation company in the real estate development, asset management, and construction sector. 1906 Group is an investor in Clark Construction, Atkinson Construction, Shirley, Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, and CRC Companies.
Ross also serves as Executive Vice President and a Manager of the Board of Clark Construction. Prior to assuming her current role, she was responsible for Clark’s strategic business planning and the company’s human resources, corporate communications, philanthropy, and media and community relations. She is the lead trustee for the company’s retirement plans. Ross began her career with Clark in 1986 as an Assistant Project Manager.
Ross is currently a board member and member of the Executive Committee of the University of Virginia Foundation Board, a founder of Jubilee to College, and an independent director of homebuilder NVR Inc. She previously served on the boards of The Potomac School, National Presbyterian School, University of Virginia School of Architecture Foundation Board, Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, Washington Architectural Foundation, and Women in Engineering Advisory Board at the University of Maryland. She volunteers as an ESL teacher at the Washington English Center.
Ms. Ross holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia, is a registered architect, and is a resident of Washington, DC.
