J. Scott Adams (McIntire '88, Darden '92)

Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, Harbor Group International, LLC

Scott Adams is the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations for Harbor Group International, LLC. Previously he served as a regional market leader for Colliers, a leading global real estate services and investment management company. Prior to joining Colliers, Adams was a Regional President with CBRE and a Senior Real Estate Consultant at EY/Kenneth Leventhal.

During his career, Adams has led the marketing, negotiations, and sale closing of $1.8 billion of investment property. Major assets include Peter Jefferson Place in Charlottesville and World Trade Center in Norfolk.

Adams is also very active in community service, particularly for the U.S. military veteran community and higher education. Adams is a national board member for The Honor Foundation, a unique transition institute created exclusively for U.S. Navy SEALs and the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. Adams presents annually as a guest lecturer to the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and Darden School of Business and is the founder of a commercial real estate academic initiative at the Darden School. Adams also serves on a board for the Old Dominion University Strome College of Business. 

Adams holds a B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce and a MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. He also earned the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation.
