About me:
Hi! My name is Olivia, and I’m a third-year at McIntire. I’m also pursuing a B.A. in Latin American Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences.
I grew up in South Florida, where I love to run along the beach, fish, and spend time with my family. I had never experienced seasons before coming to UVA, and I still get a little too excited in the fall when the leaves change colors.
I love that UVA has given me opportunities to get involved in a wide range of organizations. I joined the Alternative Investment Fund as a first-year and found an interest in investing, along with some of my closest friends. I volunteer with Madison House Sin Barreras, where I help teach English to migrants in the Charlottesville community. I’m also involved in Pi Beta Phi and RUF (Reformed University Fellowship).
One of my favorite things about McIntire is that I learn as much from my classmates as I do from my professors. I’m grateful for a community of professors and friends who introduce me to diverse perspectives and challenge me to grow both inside and outside of the classroom.
Fun fact:
In my free time, I love to run, hike, and explore the Charlottesville food scene. The Dairy Market is my new favorite Cville spot, and Moo Thru ice cream is easily top five on my list (I eat tons of ice cream, so that says a lot). I also love reading, and I’m trying to read a new book each week this year!
McIntire’s Office of Undergraduate Admission collaborates with prospective B.S. in Commerce students, helping in a variety of ways.
We encourage prospective students to contact us early in the admissions process to take advantage of all of our advising opportunities, including academic advising, information sessions, and other events, or to connect with a student ambassador.
