Areas of Expertise:
Professor Browne is a specialist in information requirements
determination, business process analysis, systems development, and
managerial decision making. His current research focuses on information
search, information filtering, and decision support problems on the
World Wide Web and cognitive and behavioral issues in information
requirements determination. He teaches courses in project management,
systems analysis, and decision making.
Professional Activities:
Professor Browne has been the director of two research institutes and
has consulted with numerous organizations. He is active in the special
interest groups on both systems analysis and design & cognitive research
within the Association for Information Systems and has served as a
member of the program committees for the groups’ annual meetings for the
last several years. Professor Browne is a regular reviewer for leading
information systems and decision making journals and is a member of the
editorial board of Journal of Database Management. He has
received high honors for his teaching.
