Commerce Career Services strongly encourages students to attend the career- and job search-related programs and workshops that are scheduled throughout the school year, and to make an appointment with a career counselor to discuss career exploration and job search strategies. In addition to these important resources, Commerce Career Services offers:

  • A series of informational handouts available below and in the Commerce Career Services suite (Rouss & Robertson Halls, Room 407)
  • A career resource library in Rouss & Robertson Halls, Room 407, focused on careers that complement Commerce disciplines
  • Subscription-based and/or proprietary online resources (McIntire login required), including:
    • Comprehensive guides to various industry, career, and company information
    • Access to the UVA alumni database
    • A diverse offering of career-related podcasts and video archives of recent CCS workshops
  • Links to numerous non-UVa job and internship search sites

Note: The University’s primary resource center for comprehensive career-related research is located in University Career Services, Bryant Hall, at Scott Stadium. The UCS Career Resource Library provides books on self-assessment, career management, career information, and job-search strategies; directories of firms organized by location, industry, and/or function; information on graduate school programs, fellowships, and financial aid; and books and directories of summer internship opportunities.
