M.S. in MIT Alumni Network

Whether living in Brussels, New York, Richmond, or San Francisco, McIntire alumni find numerous opportunities to remain actively engaged with the M.S. in MIT Program. Because networking is such an important part of the program, McIntire offers a wide variety of opportunities for alumni to connect with each other as well as with current and prospective students.

Alumni Ambassador Program

Ambassadors volunteer to assist the Graduate Admissions Office by speaking with prospective students, acting as the admissions liaison within their organization, and providing the alumni perspective during information sessions and orientation.

M.S. in MIT Alumni Events

Football tailgates, wine tastings, family picnics, holiday parties, golf outings, women’s networking events. Whatever your interest, there is probably an alumni event for you. Current students are invited and encouraged to attend as their schedules allow.

M.S. in MIT Alumni Advisory Board

Those interested in a leadership position can be nominated to serve two-year terms on the alumni board. Advisory Board members make a financial as well as leadership commitment to support the continued development of the program and the School. Board members meet with the leadership of the School and program twice yearly on the Grounds of the University. In addition, they may choose to advise on one of four subcommittees--corporate relations, career management and professional development, alumni connections, or curriculum.

Alumni Portal

The portal acts as one of the main communication vehicles for the program’s geographically dispersed alumni. Alumni may use the portal to share job opportunities, network, keep up with the latest news and events, or even check out recommended readings from faculty.

Professional Development

Alumni are encouraged to keep their competencies current by participating in the Knowledge ∞ Continuum or international executive education opportunities. The Center for Management of IT (CMIT) provides another avenue for alumni in the mid-Atlantic region to engage with faculty and current students in practical seminars on topical issues.

Alumni Spotlight...

"I use my M.S. in MIT education every day. I have actually pulled out the textbooks and readings on IT governance, portfolio management, and ROI to refer to during day-to-day operations, as well as during the largest reorganization in the history of NGIC IT. As the program stressed all year, it's all about the 'business' side of IT."
