Completion of the Application Packet

Submit Official Test Scores 

All students must submit official test scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) to UVA McIntire School of Commerce code KC7-K3-31.

To learn more about the GMAT, find tips on preparing for the test, and schedule a test date, visit www.gmat.com. Be aware: Please do not select the generic UVA code. Your scores will reach the M.S. in Accounting Program only if you select the McIntire code indicated above.

International students must also submit official test scores from an English language test. We accept scores from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

TOEFL scores must be sent to McIntire School of Commerce code 5829. Be aware: Please do not select the generic UVA code; there is a specific code for the McIntire School of Commerce. To be competitive, your score must be a minimum of 600 (paper-based), 250 (online) or 100 (ibt). To learn more about the TOEFL or to schedule a test, visit the ETS Web site.

IELTS scores must be sent to the McIntire School of Commerce. To be competitive, your overall score should be a minimum of 7. To learn more about the IELTS or to schedule a test, visit International English Language Testing System.

Submit Official Transcripts

2A. U.S. students must send official transcripts directly from their undergraduate institution(s) to:

2B. International students must submit a professional, course-by-course credential evaluation of their transcripts.

This evaluation must be performed by a professional credential evaluator. The evaluation report must be sent directly from the evaluator to the McIntire School of Commerce. 

Complete All Sections of the Online Application

Before submitting the application, please review the Inspect & Submit page to determine that all required information has been provided.

Provide Two (2) Letters of Recommendation

As part of the online application, please enter your recommenders’ name and e-mail address onto the Recommender Section; then indicate that the recommender will complete the form online. Your recommender will receive an online recommendation form that will automatically attach to your application once the recommender completes and submits it.

Pay the $75 Application Fee

Once you have paid the application fee and reviewed the application, please be sure to submit your application.
