M.S. in Accounting Curriculum

The 30-credit-hour, one-year curriculum offers students the choice between a Financial Reporting & Assurance track and a Tax Consulting track. Both tracks have been carefully designed to help students acquire not only the necessary specialized technical knowledge, but also the analytical, problem solving, and communication skills necessary to operate ethically and effectively in the business world. Upon completion of the program, students will have fulfilled the 150 credit hours now required in most states to sit for the CPA exam.
Individualized Curriculum
There are six required courses for each program track. Beyond these courses, students work individually with an academic adviser to develop a plan of coursework that is suited to their interests and needs.
All students should expect their individualized curriculum to include a combination of accounting, communication, and business courses.
