Walter B. Doggett III

Walter B. Doggett III currently serves as Group Vice President and Corporate Tax Director for Chevy Chase Bank, headquartered in Bethesda, Md. He is responsible for overseeing all of the bank’s tax compliance, tax research, and tax planning activities. His prior professional affiliations have included Riggs Bank, PEPCO, MCI, and KPMG.

Mr. Doggett received his B.S. degree in finance from the McIntire School in 1987. He also received two advanced degrees (M.S. Tax, Executive Master's in Leadership) from Georgetown University and two advanced degrees (M.S. Finance, MBA) from Loyola College in Maryland. Mr. Doggett is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Mr. Doggett currently serves on the Taxation Committee of the American Bankers Association, the Tax Legislation Committee for the AICPA, the Advisory Board of the Bank Tax Institute, and the Advisory Board of the Tax Executives Institute. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Cathedral Choral Society in Washington and Center Stage Theater in Baltimore.

Mr. Doggettand his wife, Joanne, reside in Baltimore.
