Prerequisites for mapping your F
and G Drive

To Map your F and G drive, you must be
physically connected to the McIntire network or connected to the
McIntire VPN.

If you have met these prerequisites, please
continure

To map your F drive

Double click on the my Computer Icon on your
desktop (This icon may be located on the start menu for Windows
XP users)

The My computer window will open

Click Tools, and select Map network Drive

In the drive box, select F. In the
Folder Box, enter
\\facstaff2.comm.virginia.edu\USERID, where USERID is
your 5 or 6 digit McIntire computing ID

Click Finish
-
You may now access your personal F drive.

To Map your G Drive

Double click on the my Computer Icon on your
desktop (This icon may be located on the start menu for Windows
XP users)

The My computer window will open

Click Tools, and select Map network Drive

In the drive box, select G. In the
Folder Box, enter
\\facstaff2.comm.virginia.edu\facstaffshare

Click Finish
-
You may now access your shared G drive.
